Tuesday 9th September - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – sunny and hot.

Walk 1 – Sunrise Felixstowe prom.

We got up early and headed down to Felixstowe prom to catch the sunrise and was disappointed as there was a large bank on the horizon, in fact the sun made an appearance an hour after it should have come up! We walked all the way to Jacobs Ladder and there were some cool whispy clouds out to see and the full moon looked good! We had actually walked over two and a half miles by the time we got home so had breakfast in bed with a cuppa! By the time we got up the clouds had all gone replaced with wall to wall sunshine making doing my exercises in the garden a pleasure. We enjoyed tuna pasta for lunch also in the garden, just so peaceful:)

Walk 2 – Afternoon around Felixstowe.

Being Tuesday we walked around to our old friend Mary for a cuppa and chat then walked through the town, down the pram walk to the Spa theatre and back along to the pier, the new beach hut bases were being built and a swimmer had just made it to the beach from Rough towers I think! Then a slow walk up the hill and home walking over 4 miles today! I did had a ride down to Felixstowe Ferry for the sunset which was as poor as the sunrise but spotted a paraglider over Bawdsey cliffs and two kitesurfers were out in the mouth of the Deben but the breeze was pretty light! Loads of wind coming for day but showers too but hope to get out sailing somewhere!
